For one week, September 10-16, 2025, Pizza & Social Justice and more than a dozen community organizations, public libraries and faith-based organizations, Collective Action to Build Community (CA2BC) will host more than a dozen screenings of the 2024 documentary, A Binding Truth. This award-winning 90-minute film tells the story of two high school classmates—one black, the other white—who find themselves bound together by a history stretching back more than 150 years. It is a story of healing and shows a way forward from a troubling past. CA2BC will also host the two protagonists in the film, Jimmie Kirkpatrick and De Kirkpatrick, as well as the film's director, Louise Woehrle, in a one-hour live interview on Sunday, September 28.
