Description

This event is the followup for the pre-release screening of the documentary, The Long Shadow, on July 24, 2018 which our group, Pizza & Social Justice, co-sponsored.

We have completed our 6 week intensified sessions of Continuing Conversations from September 4 thru October 9 and by consensus of the group will be continuing the conversation on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday beginning in November, 2018.

We encourage you to join us for the continuing conversations focused on race unity and racial justice, you are free to participate in as many of the conversations as your schedule will permit. You may also share this invitation with family, friends or co-workers who were not able to view The Long Shadow but would like to participate in the conversations as this is not a requirement.

Each session, we will watch a short video focusing on a particular aspect of addressing racism in our society, and then we'll discuss the feelings and thoughts that come up in small groups afterward. Aside from the content of the conversations, we have found this an effective way to foster meaningful relationships that the participants can carry forward in our lives.

Here are the session details. Please RSVP if you plan to attend so that we can arrange for appropriate materials and pizza for the evening. You can RSVP by phone, email. We look forward to continuing the conversation!
